Anne Frank was a very brave young girl. She was born in 1929 in Germany. Her family was Jewish. It was very difficult for Jewish families because Adolf Hitler was leader of Germany and he hated Jewish people. He bagan sending them to camps, where many of them were killed or died. Anne's family were afraid of being sent to death camps, so they found an old building where they could hide. They lived there for two years before the soldiers found them. Anne was only 12 years old, but she wrote very well. Everyday she wrote about her difficult life. Her diary was found after she died and today many people know about Anne Frank from reading her diary.
