The first fashion magazine of the world was cre ated by Barbara Johnson who lived in
18th cen tury. She lived in England. She had a scrapbook to collect fabrics that she bought for
making dresses during her life. She started her “fashion diary” in 1746 when she was just 8
years old. This scrapbook is kept in Victoria & Albert Museum at the moment. It gives us
a lot of information about the fabric history and fashion of 18th century.
